Oliver Iron Mining

Oliver Iron Mining was an original owner, it acquired these models new from Baldwin:
VO1000, DS4-4-1000(SC), S8, S12
- see the rosters below.

When the mines shut down the Baldwins were sent to other US Steel facilities.

VO1000

Baldwin built OIM 907, 908 & 909 with a special long frame to accommodate a
separate diesel engine / air compressor set to activate air powered side dump cars.

OIM 1216 & 1216B

OIM was the sole customer for S8 cow/calves. An addition set was build
by Baldwin and painted as OIM #1216A&B but the formal order from OIM
never materialized. The cow went to Armco Steel as #1201 and a cab was
added to the calf and it was sold to USP&F as #37.
