US Steel Fairfield Works

In 1952 the Tennessee Coal, Iron & Railroad Co. (TCI&RR), a subidiary of US Steel, became the Tennessee Coal & Iron Divison of US Steel.
Its transportation unit switched the Fairfield Works.
In 1984 it shut down its transportation unit and its Baldwins went to the Birmingham Southern RR , then owned by US Steel. [5]
