Truck equalization consists of semi-elliptic springs carried on the journal boxes, the inner ends of the two springs on one side of the truck being connected by an equal beam; the outer ends of the springs are connected to the truck frame by spring-cushioned links. A radius bar, equipped with a centering device attached to the adjacent truck frame, is applied to each four-wheel truck to prevent "nosing" ac- tion of the truck on tangent track.
