E&LS Private Passenger TrainsStory and Photos by Michael Koprowicz
The Baldwin diesel looked flawless and was frequently wyed along the route for the first trip (Monday August 20th) so that it could lead the entire way.
The amenities on the train were second to none. Both trips reportedly served salmon flown in from Alaska, steak and lobster for dinner, wine and champagne, onboard car hosts and a live band as well as a barber shop quartet. There was even an open air party car made out of a flatcar numbered ELS 7000.
