The amenities on the train were second to none. Both trips reportedly served salmon flown in from Alaska, steak and lobster for dinner, wine and champagne, onboard car hosts and a live band as well as a barber shop quartet. There was even an open air party car made out of a flatcar numbered ELS 7000.
